My Story

Toni Poll-Sorensen is a Florida-based emerging artist whose work blends movement, emotion, and imagination through vibrant color and layered texture. Her artistic journey began in the world of dance, where she spent many years as a dancer, educator, and choreographer. This foundation in rhythm and expressive motion continues to influence her visual art, resulting in paintings that feel alive with energy and flow.

Toni discovered her passion for painting during the quiet and uncertain days of 2020. What began as an experimental exploration of fluid art quickly evolved into a distinctive artistic voice. Early pours led to whimsical sea creatures, and over time, she developed her signature technique—painting with Q-tips to create countless dots of color that build form, dimension, and tactile interest across the canvas. Her process is intuitive yet intentional, allowing each piece to unfold organically while celebrating the interplay of pattern, movement, and joy.

Her work has been exhibited throughout Central Florida in venues including Art of Escapes in Orlando and Baldwin Park, The French Café and Nehrling Gardens in Winter Garden, and The Hub on Canal and Jane’s Art Center in New Smyrna Beach. She exhibits regularly at the Artists Workshop Gallery in New Smyrna Beach and considers The Starry Night Gallery in Daytona Beach her artistic home. In 2025, Toni’s painting Persephone was accepted into the internationally recognized ArtPrize juried exhibition in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where it was featured among works from over 1,100 artists.

Toni has completed commissioned works and contributes to the creative community through donations of original art for charity auctions. Her collectors span Florida and as far north as Michigan. With every piece she creates, Toni continues to explore the power of pattern, the beauty of transformation, and the joy of artistic freedom.
