Originally from Eastern Europe, Julia Smith relocated to Chicago
in 1995, where she began her journey as a mother of two sons.

Her life took another turn in 2019 when she moved to Fort Lauderdale with her spouse of 29 years, a move that sparked her creative fervor. Inspired by the breathtaking sunrises and
sunsets of Florida Julia ventured into the realm of arts and crafts,
starting with holiday cards and candle holders before expanding
her craft to designing intricate canvases and exquisite trays.

Over the past two years Julia has participated in more than a dozen craft shows, created over 200 unique pieces,d and generously donated her work to five charitable organizations and churches.

She joined the Broward Art Guild and now dedicates some of her time to volunteering at their art gallery in Fort Lauderdale. Juliet specializes in assemblage art, meticulously crafting designs on glass or metal trays and bowls. Each piece is sealed with a
non-toxic layer of epoxy resin and imbued with love and joy.
