Yvonne was born and raised in Vineland, New Jersey. Her love of art began early when as a girl she would always be drawing and would sketch pencil portraits of her family. After moving to Florida, she enrolled at Palm Beach State College to begin a three year study for a Graphic Design AS Degree. The first year included art classes along with the fine art students. This basic in depth art study initiated a total art interest and involvement in all the various art mediums.

 

After college Yvonne became a freelance graphic designer and desktop publisher for five years. During an illness when she had to let go of her design business, her love of fine art and crafts took precedence. Yvonne began experimenting with crafting mediums such as polymer clay, and various painting mediums of oils and acrylic.

 

At one point Yvonne studied portraiture under Laurie Snow Hein whose work appears in galleries and on national greeting cards. Commission work then began for portraits from photos and were rendered in pastel chaulk. Her clients have expressed satisfaction, pleasure and excitement over the completed works.

 

For five years, Yvonne embraced wall mural art with acrylics. Many of her murals can be seen around the Daytona Beach area and the Sarasota Florida area. In addition to portrait art and decorative art, Yvonne has instructed painting classes in addition to iPhone learning classes to seniors. 

 

Yvonne has been an active member of the The Daytona Beach Art League, The Art Center in Venice, Florida and the Artist Workshop in New Smyrna Beach, Florida and has participated in several art shows in Florida from time to time. Yvonne is always appreciative to be able to share her art expressing her love of life and nature.
