Tracy Worker creates layered acrylic sunflower works that explore connection, memory, and the personal ways we see ourselves reflected in nature. Her Moments Under Glass collection was inspired by a simple truth: everyone loves sunflowers — and nearly everyone associates one with someone they love.

 

Each piece is created differently, with textured acrylic applied in intentional layers, often allowing the painting to “speak” before it is complete. The posture of each bloom — leaning, anchored, reaching — becomes symbolic of a person, a relationship, or a season of life.

 

Every sunflower is paired with an original poem written specifically for that piece. The words are not explanations, but invitations — creating a quiet space where viewers can recognize someone they love within the petals.
