🌟 Family Tree Art Exhibition at Starry Night Gallery
We’re excited to celebrate a remarkable artistic legacy that spans five generations!
It began in 1924 when Frank and Edmund Bacher arrived from Germany. Frank went on to work as a background animator on the historic 1939 animated film Gulliver’s Travels at Max Fleischer Studios. His sister-in-law Jane McCartney created beautiful watercolors and pastels, while their daughter Barbara dedicated more than 60 years to teaching young artists in Winter Park.
Today the tradition continues through Barbara’s daughter, Jeni B. Leemis (illustrator of over 40 children’s books), and her son, Nathan Leemis, a professional plein air and nature painter whose luminous ocean scenes are featured in this exhibition.
