Debbie Nye, Artist
 

Born in Seattle and raised in the rural landscapes of North Chili, New York, Debbie Nye draws on a lifelong connection to art that spans three generations of her family. After a successful career in cosmetology, she turned her creative energy toward painting, developing her technique as a self-taught artist guided by intuition, faith, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the natural world.

Working primarily in acrylics, Debbie’s paintings capture the play of light, mood, and movement found in God’s creation. The ocean is a recurring source of inspiration, its shifting colors and rhythms reflected in her expressive use of tone and texture. Now based in Florida, she is an active member of The Hub on Canal and the Artists Workshop of New Smyrna Beach, and exhibits regularly at Starry Night Gallery in Daytona Beach. Her vibrant works invite viewers to share in her joyful exploration of color, spirit, and emotion.
